Tochukwu Okafor (UTV 2021) Named Aspen Words Writer in Residence

Let’s play catch-up. Nigerian writer Tochuku Okufor (UTV 2021, Fiction) has been named a Writer-in-Residence at Aspen Words for September 2022. He is also a 2022 MASS MoCA Fellow and Artist-in-Residence, and was recognized in 2021 as a PEN America Emerging Voices Fellow, a GrubStreet Emerging Writer Fellow, a Jack Straw Writing Fellow, a Gish Jen Fiction Fellow, a Wellstone Center in the Redwoods (WCR) Writing Fellow, a Sundress Academy for the Arts Writer-in-Residence Fellow, a Bethany Arts Community Artist-in-Residence, a Frank Conley Memorial Scholar, an Albertina Tholakele Dube Scholar for Young Writers, and a Longleaf Writers Conference BIPOC Scholar.
