I’m an investigative reporter and writer from the north-east of England. I graduated from Cardiff University in English Literature, and have worked in film and documentary production in London and as a freelance writer in the Balkans. I currently form part of the cross-border and collaborative non-profit network Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), where I’ve investigated multi-billion dollar money laundering schemes, corporate environmental crime, and political lobbying and bribery, among other issues, all of which feed into my fiction work.
Soy periodista de investigación, escritor del noreste de Inglaterra y licenciado en Literatura por la Universidad de Cardiff. He trabajado en la producción cinematográfica y documental en Londres, y como escritor independiente en los Balcanes. Formo parte de Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), una red transfronteriza y colaborativa, en la que investigo el crimen organizado y la corrupción en Latinoamérica. Esto incluye también esquemas multimillonarios de lavado de dinero y delitos ambientales corporativos, cabildeo y soborno político, entre otros temas. Todo lo anterior ha influenciado mi escritura creativa.
