Francisco Cantú is a writer, translator, and the author of The Line Becomes a River. A former Fulbright fellow, he is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize and a 2017 Whiting Award. His essays and translations have been featured in Best American Essays, Harper’s, n+1, Guernica, and on This American Life. A graduate of the University of Arizona MFA program in Nonfiction, he now lives in Tucson and coordinates the Southwest Field Studies in Writing Program.
