Amanda Kallis is a speculative fiction writer originally from Los Angeles. Her work has appeared in Catapult, the Bare Life Review, the Black Warrior Review (2018 prize winner), McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, the Cincinnati Review and elsewhere. She holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and was an artist-in-residence at the Edward Albee Foundation. Her novel Skinframe, the story of two sisters from a family of inventors, asks how far people are willing to go to avoid grief .
