Originally from South Africa, I came to Mexico just over two decades ago as a young English teacher, and it has been home ever since. I now work in education, writing content for English language learning, while my creative work explores the human experience—often my own—through a blend of research and introspection.
I have a deep appreciation for the natural world, and most mornings begin with my dog Oli among the mesquite and huisache trees of San Miguel de Allende, in a landscape that echoes my first home. As I wander, I try to make meaning of the worlds—new and old—that shape me.
Originalmente de Sudáfrica, llegué a México hace poco más de dos décadas como maestra de inglés y desde entonces este país maravilloso ha sido mi hogar. Hoy trabajo en el ámbito educativo, escribiendo contenido para la enseñanza del inglés, mientras que mi escritura creativa explora la experiencia humana —a menudo la mía— mediante una mezcla de investigación e introspección.
Tengo una profunda apreciación por la naturaleza, y la mayoría de mis mañanas comienzan con mi perro Oli entre los mezquites y huizaches de San Miguel de Allende, en un paisaje que me recuerda a mi primer hogar. Al caminar, intento descifrar los mundos —nuevos y antiguos— que me han formado.
