Escritura de testimonio con Vicente Alfonso
Soy historiadora del arte y escritora de ensayo y crónica. He publicado en la Revista Este País, Revista de la Universidad de México y Nexos. Fui becaria del FONCA (2021–2022) en la categoría de ensayo creativo. Actualmente escribo mi primer libro: una crónica construida a partir del ejercicio de la escucha y la transcripción de testimonios, resultado de cuatro años de investigación de campo acompañando la lucha de una comunidad indígena otomí residentes en la Ciudad de México. Conocer su resistencia en la defensa de sus derechos, del agua y del territorio me ha permitido aprender sobre algunas formas de organización autónoma, comunitaria y no jerárquica. En general, mi práctica de investigación se sitúa en un cruce entre el activismo social, los derechos humanos y las ciencias sociales. Me interesan los enfoques interdisciplinarios que analizan críticamente la historia y el presente desde perspectivas antirracistas, de clase y de género. Algo que poca gente sabe de mí es que me gusta coleccionar insectos muertos que encuentro en la calle. Principalmente mariposas, escarabajos y grillos.
I am an art historian, essayist and non-fiction writer. I have published in the magazine Este País, Revista de la Universidad de México, and Nexos. I was a FONCA grant recipient (2021–2022) in the creative essay category. I am currently writing my first book: a narrative constructed from listening to and transcribing testimonies, the result of four years of fieldwork accompanying the struggle of an Otomi indigenous community living in Mexico City. Learning about their resistance in defending their rights, water, and territory has allowed me to learn about some forms of autonomous, community-based, and non-hierarchical organization. In general, my research practice lies at the intersection of social activism, human rights, and the social sciences. I am interested in interdisciplinary approaches that critically analyze history and the present from anti-racist, class-based, and gender perspectives. Something few people know about me is that I like to collect dead insects I find in the street. Mainly butterflies, beetles, and crickets.
