Accommodation

Our writers generally stay in one of several small hotels that we reserve for the duration of the residency.  All are a short walk from the main square, or zócalo, and near the main workshop venue in the Barrio of Santa Cruz. Prices range from $750 MXN to $$950 MXN/night (roughly $42 USD to $52 depending on fluctuations in the exchange rate) and include breakfast and taxes.  All rooms are private, with their own bath, desk and lamp. Most people appreciate the experience of living with fellow Volcanistas, but there are also other housing options in the village, from BnB’s to luxury hotels. We will make every effort to match accepted participants with their first choice of accommodation. All prices are based on current exchange rates and have been negotiated (downward!) based on stays of 16 nights, the full length of the residency.

Confirmed hotels are described below.  All have their own characteristics but all are tastefully furnished with excellent reviews.  Payment options will be provided to confirmed participants once your preference  has been received8
