Congratulations to Óscar Molina V. (UTV 2021, Escritura y testimonio with Sandra Lorenzano) for winning the Emerging Writer Fellowship from the Miami Book Fair. Starting January 2023, Oscar will reside in Miami for one year to complete the short story manuscript for which he won the fellowship, under the mentorship of the award-winning Mexican writer Cristina Rivera Garza.
Óscar is a journalist born in Quito, Ecuador. He holds a master’s degree in journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York, and a master’s degree in literary creation from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. His texts are part of journalistic and literary anthologies in Ecuador and the U.S.
