Nelly Rosario is a Dominican-American novelist who grew up Brooklyn. She holds an engineering degree from MIT and an MFA from Columbia. After the debut of her novel Song of the Water Saints, Rosario was described by writer Julia Alvarez as “a Caribbean Scheherezade.” Her many accolades include the Hurston/Wright Foundation Award in Fiction, the PEN Open Book Award, the Sherwood Anderson Foundation Award and a grant from Creative Capital. She is currently W. Ford Schumann Visiting Professor in Democratic Studies at Williams College, Amherst, where she teaches fiction and Latinx studies.
Nelly Rosario will be assisting Rosa Beltrán in the Spanish fiction master class.
