Tepoztlán is generally sunny and dry in January. The climate is semi-tropical, with day time temperatures hovering 80 degrees F, but cool at night.  Expect lush, exuberant flora that mix bugainvillea and palm trees with roses, pines, orchids, coffee, avocado trees and plenty of hibiscus.

The village is built into the foothills of the great volcanoes, Popocatéptl and Ixtaccíhuatl. Translation:  steep hills, cobbled streets, uneven surfaces.  A fleet of little white taxis that charge the equivalent us US $2 per ride make the village pretty accessible for everyone. Let us know if you have special mobility needs so we can help with arrangements.

Think layers, including jackets and sweaters for evenings, warm pajamas and socks, comfortable shoes for walking and hiking and NO heels for women.  Dress for workshops is informal, but participants should bring at least one set of “better” clothes for outings and public events.

Contact Señor Fermin Morales at Turismo Morales to arrange your taxi from Mexico City to Tepoztlán. Price is $110 USD for the 90 minute drive. Your driver will be waiting for you at the airport terminal. Buses from the airport to Cuernavaca cost US $15. Taxis from the Cuernavaca bus terminal to Tepoztlán also run $15.
