Weather
Tepoztlán is generally sunny and dry in January. The climate is semi-tropical, with day time temperatures hovering 80 degrees F, but cool at night. Expect lush, exuberant flora that mix bugamvillea and palm trees with roses, pines, orchids, coffee, avocado trees and plenty of hibiscus.
Terrain
The village is built into the foothills of the great volcanoes, Popocatéptl and Ixtaccíhuatl. Translation: steep hills, cobbled streets, uneven surfaces. A fleet of little white taxis make the village pretty accessible for everyone.
